Rules
i We are an intermediate to advanced roleplay, however, we welcome any level here on FableHaven! There is a 200 minimum word count. If you are having issues reaching this, feel free to reach out to any of our staff members!
ii This roleplay is set in Mountain Standard time and any events that go on will follow this schedule!
iii Swearing is allowed, but please, don't abuse this. If we see a ridiculous amount of swearing in one post you'll receive a warning to change it. If it's not changed after 24 hours, we'll remove the post altogether.
iv This is a one account per person, site. We don't require multiple accounts or an account for each person.
v IC drama stays in character, OOC drama stays off the site. If you have an issue with a fellow roleplayer, be sure to take it off-site or ask one of the staff members to mediate. This is what we're here for! If we see any bullying, bashing, or any kind of harassment on the site, the person violating this rule will be warned once and if not heeded, removed from the site.
vi Please no abusing the cbox. We want you to be able to discuss things and have great conversations! But keep the subjects light! If you have any real-life issues that you're wanting to discuss, an admin is here to help you in any way you need!
vii Keep the swearing to a minimum. No fighting, no disrespecting the staff or other players on the site, and please, please remember to be even just a little bit mature!
viii Do not advertise in the cbox! We have boards for this! Use them!

x There will be no monetary sales on the site. If you are selling art or coding on FableHaven, it must be in game currency only.

Character Creation
i To the fun stuff! This is a semi-realistic equine roleplay. That means realistic coat colors, please! The only way a FableHaven equine can have horns or wings is if they are a minor god/goddess. To have both, along with unnatural colors, they'd have to be a major god/goddess. To discuss these roles further if you're interested, please feel free to contact any admin!
ii All images must be credited properly. You must have rights to the image either by owning the character or the image be provided and labeled as stock. If you need help with stock images, please let us know!
iii Once a character is created, it cannot be changed without purchasing the necessary tools from the store.
iv Unless your character is a major god/dess, it cannot have any unnatural colors, markings or appendages. Characters may have man-made outfits and/or jewelry, but it may only have one or the other to start out with. Any additional articles must be purchased via the Bazaar.
v Yes, real breeds will be used to describe your character. This means reasonable heights and coat colors. Please be mindful of the breed specifics when choosing them to match the character's color and height. If you need help with this, ask an Admin and we would be more than happy to help you!
vi Eye color can be anything. However, if you're wanting a certain pupil shape and all... You'll have to purchase that from the store!
vii Characters must be at least a year old to join, unless you bring a pregnant mare or mare and foal combo, of which case two applications must be filled out.
viii Mortals do not have magical abilities. That is reserved for the major and minor gods.
ix You may join your character with one accessory, but keep in mind if you join with a Lyrael, they will automatically have the slave outfits designed for that role.
x After you create your character, you must post first in The Waking Desert, an island that is north of FableHaven. Characters who are new to FableHaven simply 'wake up' here with no memory of how they got here in the first place. Those who were born in FableHaven must post as well and wake up on the island, which will then be answered by one of their Deities who will transport them back to the land they belong. After they get back to their homes, it's like it never happened.

Posting & Activity
i FableHaven runs on liquid time meaning characters may be in multiple boards at the same time.
ii Power-playing, meta-playing, and god-modding are prohibited unless permission has been given from the other player prior to posting.
iii While your account will never be deleted unless banned, if after two to three weeks of no posting in a thread, that thread will be moved to archives.
iv If for whatever reason you delete your accounts and characters, you must rejoin and redo their applications and go through that process again. However, if you are away for long periods of time, or go on hiatus and your account is still intact, you do not have to repost your characters.
v Canon characters must be posted once a week. These are the Major and Minor god/desses. If for some reason the character is inactive and no away post has been made, then we have the right to replace the inactive god/dess with someone who is active.
vi Mortal characters have no activity checks unless they are part of the royal families. In which case, all royal family members must participate in gatherings, meetings and events. They must post at least once a month.
ii Power-playing, meta-playing, and god-modding are prohibited unless permission has been given from the other player prior to posting.

i Each player can have two lands. In the future this may change, should the Lyrael get free of their captors. However, for now, two lands per player.
ii Leaders of the territory must remain active. The must post frequently, whether it's within their land or otherwise. Don't be afraid to visit other lands and build alliances! This is how you get things accomplished.
iii Ranks should be Alpha (mated or unmated pair), Beta (two) and heir. Everything else is up to the owner of the territory.
iv There is a 2 week cool-down period for each land that is newly claimed. After those two weeks, anyone can challenge for the land.
v All challenges must be accepted. A battle will determin the outcome of who gets the land. The current territory owner has 3 business days to respond to the thread. I say business days, because a lot of us have jobs and weekends may be our only time to reply. If after three business days there is no response, then the land is surrendered by default to the challenger.
vi Lands that are inactive for more than a month will be back up for grabs. This is unnegotiable unless there is an away post.
vii Sublands are allowed and are at the descretion of the land owners.
viii Canon lands may not be challenged for as these are for royals only and must be auditioned for.
ix Please follow our map and land descriptions and use that as a guide when describing your new territory.
