The Waking Desert is an island to the north (see lay of the lands) where all newly joined characters wake up before being sorted. You must post here, especially if your character has never been to FableHaven before. A deity will respond and transport your character where they need to go. Ready for this? Great! The one spot where there is always snow. Not quite in the Llbertat mountains, Iceacre is always iced over or snowy. Its' temperatures drop well below freezing even in the summer, and below zero in the winter. A nice place to go to escape the heat, it is not wise however to drop by in the winter.

The cliffs of Llibertat jut just off of the western side of the mountains, as the name indicates. These cliffs are popular by the death toll it has from many a People jumping off or falling. Of course, no one can really say whether it was foul play or not.

A thick forest that sits just at the base of the mountains, Shadowlea is harder to navigate than even the Labyrinth. With vines and thick foliage, it takes a lot of effort to push through the branches that seem to come to life and grab at the poor soul who tries to brave it.

Witchedge is an eerie territory that is home to many whispers on the wind. Some who come into this land and walk amongst the fog tend to leave with the voices still ringing in their ear. Not soon after, those individuals find themselves mad and claiming a Witch walks among the mist and tells them stories of a time the dirt was painted crimson and cries echoed through the mountains. In the valley, south of the Fae River waterfall, these voices are trapped amongst the dead trees and bare land.

Named after the infamous Lady Aldlyn who threw herself off the waterfall after her father declaring her betrothed to the Fosc king. This waterfall is at the end of Fae River. Below it is flat rocks and the falls hides the caves that reach into the depths of the realm.

Edgeness is situated just at the edge of Esclau City, hence it's name. It has some ruins that could not be used as part of their society, along with the headstones of those who had fallen long ago. In Edgeness, the old King Amik's head rests on a spike, the flesh long rotted off the skull and many droppings from the Crows and Ravens that pecked at it until bare.

The dungeons are located within the city, close to Draemith. This is where the slaves are kept when they are not needed. The dungeons are said to be charmed to lock when the sun disappears behind the mountains and unlock when the sun rises.

The Tainael tunnels are located beneath the city. They were once the sewage lines before the humans died out. They are large enough to be explored by the citizens of FableHaven, though taller beasts may not fit. The entrance is found just inside Edgeness in a mausoleum, and winds beneath the city in a maze before coming to an opening at the Draemith Beach
